Project321 RG3 hubs are proudly manufactured and assembled in-house at Project321's Mississauga Ontario 42,000 square foot machine shop facility.
RG3 Engagement
RG3 hubs use the same 72 tooth drive ring and three-step magnetically actuated pawls as our proven G2 hubs. A total of four pawls work in teams of two, to give 2.5° or 144 points of engagement. We believe this gives riders the ideal balance of instant engagement and low drag across all road and gravel surfaces

The Rims: Baumier GT24 700c
Handmade in Montreal, the GT24 brings together low weight, precision, comfort and exceptional durability in a wheel designed to keep performing mile after mile. The GT24 rim has a generous 25 mm internal width, creating an ideal platform for modern gravel tires from 28 to 52 mm. The result is a wheel that feels responsive when the road turns upward, stable when the surface gets rough, and confident when the ride leaves the pavement behind. But what truly separates the GT24 from the rest of the pack is where and how it is made.
Every Baumier rim is manufactured in house in Montreal Quebec, allowing the company to control the production process from raw material through finished rim, and maintain very tight control over quality. Each rim starts as premium dry carbon fiber, placed into model specific molds and centered around a CNC’d wax mandrel, which takes the place of a bladder. The largest benefit of the mandrel is its solid structure, which gives Baumier more precise control over the internal shape of their rims. Resin is introduced via Baumier’s proprietary Resin Flow Composite (RFC) process which was developed around aerospace-inspired manufacturing techniques to ensure accurate control over fiber-to-resin ratios. The aggregate of this manufacturing process creates an extremely accurate and stable product without the voids and defects often found rims made with a traditional mold and bladder approach. As important to Baumier, is that this manufacturing method draws less energy and produces much less waste – no need to refrigerate prepreg carbon, no bladders to throw away as used wax mandrels are recycled into new again, and the use of dry fiber and RFC means there is little to no waste of carbon or resin.
Baumier has chosen to use braided carbon fiber, which is for more than just esthetics. The premium braided fiber tends to keep better structure un the event a rim should incur damage, increasing the safety factor of the rims and normally allowing a rider to get home even on a damaged wheel.
