Project321 G3/RG3
This wheelset uses a combination of G3 100mm front for it's tall flanges that yield a stiffer wheel, especially under a loaded bike, and, the 142mm RG3 rear for weight savings. This is a popular combination for packing and adventure bikes, as well as those looking for stiffness/responsiveness over shaving a few incremental grams. Additionally G3 front hubs are convertible between 12mm and 15mm axles.
Our approach with G3 was to build a hub that strikes the ideal balance between strength, weight, reliability, and efficiency. The result of this design philosophy is a robust and efficient hub set with instant, rock-solid engagement.
Engagement
RG3 hubs use the same 72 tooth drive ring and three-step magnetically actuated pawls as our proven G2 hubs. A total of four pawls work in teams of two, to give 2.5° or 144 points of engagement. We believe this gives riders the ideal balance of instant engagement and low drag across all road and gravel surfaces
The Wheel Build
Rims: 29" WeAreOne Revive 1.0
With the resurgence of XC and the explosion of gravel, WeAreOne had the vision to develop a carbon rim that would offer maximum comfort and deliver confidence to the rider who chooses the lightweight hardtail or short travel full suspension.
The Revive is the perfect carbon rim for gravel and bikepacking bikes, where every gram counts. When creating this rim, WeAreOne wanted the rider to have the ability to crush miles of washboard without sacrificing comfort. Gravel isn't your thing?
